Have just begun work on understanding how learning diffuses across social networks in organizations. Literature that i am reading leads me to look at best practices as one of the many different learning materials. Its diffusion across and within organizations as noted in literature is determined by and attributed to various causes, one of which is the design of the organization. A question that i am trying to find an answer to is, what would be the strenght of social networks in determining the adoption of the best practices? Given that determinants could range from presence of external forces that compell an organization to accept a best practice to presence of early adopters, the above question can be indicative of the strenght of various determinants.
